US Cash Grains-Corn basis bids steady to higher at river terminals, elevators
CHICAGO, Sept 4 (Reuters) -Spot basis bids for corn were steady to higher at elevators and river terminals across the U.S. Midwest on Wednesday, according to spot checks.
* The corn basis rose by 10 cents at an elevator in the Chicago, Illinois, area and by 5 cents at another in Blair, Nebraska. It rose by 7 cents at a river terminal in Morris, Illinois.
* Corn futures rose as dry weather threatened crops in the central U.S., according to analysts.
* Some locations have rolled their corn basis to the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) December CZ24 futures contract as the September contract CU24 nears its delivery phase and Sept. 13 expiration.
