UK Stocks-Factors to watch on May 9

May 9 -Britain's FTSE 100 .FTSE index is seen opening higher on Thursday, with futures FFIc1 up 0.14%.
* BAE SYSTEMS: Britain's BAE SystemsBAES.L said it was on track to meet guidance for higher earnings and forecast "further positive momentum" from a recent UK government commitment to raise defence spending.
* RATHBONES: Rathbones GroupRAT.L reported a 2.1% rise in funds under management and administration to 107.6 billion pounds ($134 billion) in its first quarter.
* ITV: Britain's ITV ITV.L forecast an around 12% jump in advertising revenue in the second quarter as it benefits from the Euros soccer championship which kicks off in June.
* HIPGNOSIS SONGS: Apollo-backed Concord said it will not raise its $1.25 per share offer for Hipgnosis Songs FundSONG.L days after BlackstoneBX.N outbid it for the owner of music rights of artists, including Shakira and Blondie.
* BOE: The Bank of England is likely to take another step towards its first interest rate cut in four years on Thursday as inflation falls, but will probably be cautious about signalling that a move is imminent.
* PRUDENTIAL: Insurer Prudential PRU.L has shut down its Hong Kong wealth management business Pulse Wealth, the company said in a statement to Reuters, as part of a wider push to streamline its business.
* JOB MARKET: Pay rates for temporary staff in Britain rose last month at the fastest pace in nearly a year and employers scaled back hiring by less than in recent months, a survey of recruiters showed on Thursday.
* MOTOR FINANCE: Britain's financial watchdog said it was considering a formal redress scheme to compensate thousands of consumers that were potentially overcharged for motor finance.
* EX-DIVS: HSBC HSBA.L, Admiral Group ADML.L, A G Barr BAG.L, SThreeSTEMS.L will trade without entitlement to their latest dividend payouts on Thursday.
