** CBS parent Paramount Global PARA.O will be controlled by software billionaire Larry Ellison after Skydance Media completes its purchase of the Redstone family's interest in the film and TV company, Bloomberg News reported, citing a regulatory filing.

** A private equity consortium including Vista Equity Partners and Blackstone BX.N is in talks to acquire Smartsheet SMAR.N, a U.S. maker of workplace collaboration software with a market value of about $7 billion, people familiar with the matter said.

** French workplace supplies provider Elis SA ELIS.PA has approached Vestis VSTS.N, the former uniform rentals business of Aramark ARMK.N, with an acquisition offer, according to people familiar with the matter.
