W. Africa Crude-Angolan January schedule emerges
LONDON, Nov 18 (Reuters) -Traders digested Angola's January crude oil loading schedule on Monday, while Nigerian Escravos was bid in the Platts window.
* Angola will load 35 crude cargoes in January, according to a trade source citing a preliminary loading programme, down slightly from 36 cargoes on the December schedule.
* As many as 11 Angolan December crude cargoes remain unsold, according to a trader on Friday. State-owned Sonangol was thought to have sold out of its December cargoes last week.
* Angola has struggled to clear its December loading schedule in part because of sluggish demand from China.
* "Global crude premia remain under heavy pressure and the start to the Asian buying cycle is so far lacklustre," Sparta Commodities analyst Neil Crosby said on Monday.
* In the Platts window, Mercuria bid for a 1 million barrel cargo of Escravos loading Dec. 29 - Jan. 4 at dated Brent plus $1.65 FOB.
* On other Nigerian grades, offers for Bonny Light were last heard close to dated Brent +$1, offers for Qua Iboe around dated Brent plus $2 and Forcados around dated Brent plus $2.50.
* The number of unsold December Nigerian cargoes was around 30 at the end of last week, a trader said.
