Med crude-Urals diffs stable, Russia's refinery primary idle capacity revised up for Dec
MOSCOW, Dec 18 (Reuters) -Urals crude differentials to dated Brent were stable on Wednesday, while Russia's primary idle refining capacity was revised up by 35% for December, Reuters calculations showed.
Russia plans to take 1.48 million metric tons of refining capacity offline in December, up by 35% from a previous estimate but still below the 2.4 million tons in November, according to Reuters calculations based on data from industry sources.
A rise in idle capacity means refineries run less crude oil to produce fuel, making more volumes available for export. Still refinery throughput in Russia typically remains high during winter months, resulting in lower oil export volumes.
PLATTS WINDOW
No bids or offers were shown for Urals, Azeri BTC or CPC Blend in the Platts window on Wednesday.
