UK Stocks-Factors to watch on Nov. 6
Nov 6 (Reuters) -Britain's FTSE 100 .FTSE index is seen opening flat on Wednesday, with futures FFIc1 largely unchanged.
* U.S. ELECTIONS: A leading British think tank said that the country's already slow economic growth rate could be more than halved if Donald Trump wins the U.S. presidential election and imposes sweeping import tariffs.
* PRUDENTIAL: Prudential PLC PRU.L posted a 11% rise in new business profit for the first nine months of fiscal 2024, as the Asia-focused insurer benefited from strong performance across all its segments.
* BP: BP BP.L plans to sell all 310 of its petrol stations in the Netherlands, a spokesman for the British oil and gas company said, confirming a report in Dutch newspaper AD.
* OIL: Oil prices fell as early poll results in the U.S. election showed Democrat Kamala Harris and Republican Donald Trump locked in a tight race for the presidency.
* GOLD: Gold held steady as investors keenly awaited the outcome of a tightly-contested U.S. presidential race.
* METALS: Prices of London-listed base metals declined as the U.S. dollar rallied, while early results from the U.S. election indicated a tight race.
* FTSE: Britain's benchmark FTSE 100 edged lower on Tuesday, hurt by AstraZeneca's fall on a potential China probe, while investors exercised caution ahead of the U.S. election.
