We are proud to give a short account of XM’s latest charity mission carried out in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, on 17th June this year.

In the past years, XM has many times proved its humanitarian attitude and willingness to help whenever the need arose from people who needed support, whether in countries stricken by natural disasters, famine, lack of medical care or food supplies.

Shortly after having started their charity mission in Uganda, the XM team members embarked on their next mission to the Malaysian city of Johor Bahru to help those who could not afford to celebrate Hari Raya, which marks the end of the one-month-long fasting period of Ramadan, in a festive mood.

Our purpose was to help people in Johor Bahru who belong to the vulnerable part of the population and provide them with food supplies, medicine and clothing. We felt it as our mission to start a charity that could meet the basic needs of those who otherwise could not have had the chance to celebrate a religious holiday that bears so much significance in the Muslim world.

The charity event meant a lot to us: we could help people, connect with people, and most of all we feel we achieved our goal, namely to make a positive difference to the lives of people during Hari Raya.
