Wall Street's stock indexes jumped on Friday, with the benchmark S&P 500 index nearing a record high, after U.S. Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell said "the time has come" to reduce interest rates. .N
At 11:43 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average .DJI was up 1.07% at 41,146.39. The S&P 500 .SPX was up 1.01% at 5,626.75 and the Nasdaq Composite .IXIC was up 1.32% at 17,851.082.
