Oct 3 (Reuters) -Britain's FTSE 100 .FTSE index is seen opening higher, with futures FFIc1 up 0.2%.


* TESCO: Tesco TSCO.L raised its annual profit forecast as Britain's biggest supermarket group won market share in its first half, giving it momentum ahead of the key festive trading period.

* NATIONAL GRID: Britain's National Grid NG.L said that the group's half-year performance was in line with its expectations and expects underlying earnings to be weighted to the second-half of the fiscal year.

* SSE: UK power generator and network operator SSE SSE.L maintained its annual forecast and pushed back the completion of the Dogger Bank A offshore wind project to the second-half of 2025 from the first-half.

* SSP: Upper Crust owner SSP Group SSPG.L forecast slightly better-than-expected annual revenue, helped by strong performance during its peak summer period.

* BOE: The Bank of England could move more quickly to cut interest rates if there is further good news on inflation but conflict in the Middle East could push up oil prices, Governor Andrew Bailey told the Guardian newspaper.

* BANKS: Britain is giving banks enhanced new powers to delay and investigate suspicious payments in a bid to slash the estimated 460 million pounds lost to fraud in the last year.

* OIL: Oil prices rose as the prospect of a widening Middle East conflict that could disrupt crude oil flows from the key exporting region overshadowed a stronger global supply outlook.

* GOLD: Gold edged lower on Thursday, trading in a tight range.

* EX-DIVS: Centrica CNA.L, F&C Investment Trust FCIT.L, Phoenix Group PHNX.L, Smith & Nephew SN.L, Hargreaves Lansdown HRGV.L, Weir Group WEIR.L will trade without entitlement to its latest dividend pay-out on Thursday.
