July 30 -Britain's FTSE 100 .FTSE index is seen opening lower on Tuesday, with futures FFIc1 down 0.4%.


* BP: BP BP.L reported second-quarter profit of $2.76 billion, beating expectations as the energy company increased its dividend and extended its share repurchasing programme.

* GLENCORE: Glencore GLEN.L left its 2024 production guidance unchanged for most metals and increased coal to reflect its acquisition of Teck's steelmaking coal unit, saying it will announce whether it will proceed with a demerger of its coal assets at its half-year financial results next week.

* DIAGEO: Diageo DGE.L reported 4.8% decline in annual profit, just short of analyst expectations, due to a steep decline in sales in Latin America and the Caribbean.

* WPP: WPP WPP.L named former BT BT.L chief Philip Jansen as its new chair, succeeding Roberto Quarta at the world's largest advertising company.

* ST JAMES'S PLACE: British wealth manager St James's Place SJP.L said it plans to cut tens of millions of pounds of costs, as it tries to rebuild investor confidence following regulatory scrutiny of its charges.

* GREGGS: British fast food retailer Greggs GRG.L kept its full-year profit outlook after a 16.3% rise in the first half that benefited from a broadened product range made more accessible to more customers through deliveries and extended store opening hours.

* CRODA: Chemicals group Croda International CRDA.L trimmed its annual profit expectations, hit by destocking in its Life Sciences and Consumer Health businesses.

* FCA: Britain's financial watchdog said it will give motor finance companies more time to respond to customer complaints about overcharging on commission when buying a car, as it considers a possible redress scheme.
