UK Stocks-Factors to watch on August 8
Adds new items, updates futures
Aug 8 (Reuters) -Britain's FTSE 100 .FTSE index is seen opening lower on Thursday, with futures FFIc1 down 0.3%.
* BARRATT-REDROW DEAL: UK's competition regulator said its phase 1 review into homebuilder Barratt's BDEV.L 2.52 billion pound ($3.21 billion) all-stock deal to buy smaller rival Redrow RDW.L had raised concerns in the local area around a Barratt development.
* PERSIMMON: UK's Persimmon PSN.L posted a drop in interim pre-tax profit, but forecast annual homebuild target at the top-end of its forecast range, as easing mortgage rates and UK rate cuts boost recovery hopes in the homebuilding sector.
* BEAZLEY: British insurer Beazley BEZG.L upgraded its combined ratio forecast for 2024 after first-half pre-tax profit nearly doubled to $728.9 million, boosted by growth in its property risks premiums.
* ENTAIN: British gambling group Entain ENT.L raised its annual net gaming revenue and earnings forecast, after a better-than-expected second quarter performance and easing regulatory pressures in Brazil and the Netherlands.
* DELIVEROO: British meal delivery company Deliveroo ROO.L said it had achieved the twin milestones of profit and free cash flow in the six months to end-June as demand from customers stabilised.
* HARBOUR ENERGY: Harbour Energy HBR.L, the largest British North Sea oil and gas producer, narrowed its full-year total production outlook, citing good progress on its capital projects and planned maintenance shutdowns.
* GSK: The third trial over claims that discontinued heartburn drug Zantac ended in a mistrial when jurors could not agree about whether pharmaceutical company Boehringer Ingelheim was responsible for an Illinois man's cancer.
* EX-DIVS: AstraZeneca AZN.L, BP BP.L, Natwest NWG.L, Ashtead Group AHT.L, Standard Chartered STAN.L, BT BT.L, Segro SGRO.L, Rentokil RTO.L, iNFORMA INF.L, Pearson PSON.L, Melrose MRON.L IMI Plc IMI.L and Fresnillo FRES.L will trade without entitlement to their latest dividend pay-outs.
