Aug 14 (Reuters) -Stocks may boom on the back of stimulus derived from a U.S. policy easing cycle and a weaker dollar, encouraging FX traders to gamble.

Stocks are rallying ahead of the expected start of the easing cycle in September, after recent substantial corrections which saw MSCI's world equity index reach the perfect spot for its bull trend to be resumed.

The drop has refreshed an uptrend that will be fuelled by stimulus provided by an expected 1% drop in the U.S. interest rate this year, plus that derived from a weaker dollar which effectively eases policy further.

The dollar index, which has fallen almost 4% since June, has a similar effect to the easing cycle starting early, and while a substantial dollar drop could stay the Federal Reserve's hand in the future, its stimulus now is largely unexpected and perhaps not factored into investment strategies.

MSCI's world index, which rocketed to a record high at 832 in July from 634 last November, has already rallied above 800 from August's 756 low. With so much fuel in the pipeline it could far exceed July's high, potentially reaching 959.

Such strength will boost risk appetite in FX markets, encouraging a flow of cash from currencies undermined by lower interest rates like the yen, toward those underpinned by high rates like Mexico's peso.

The dollar may not fall too far as it will likely remain one of the highest yielding major currencies and therefore a prudent purchase for carry trades that stock rallies favour. The more the dollar is shorted, the more intense its likely recovery.
