LONDON, Sept 27 (Reuters) - Raw sugar futures on ICE slid off 7-month highs on Friday while arabica came off 13-year peaks, though both were still heading for weekly gains amid persistent worries over drought in top producer Brazil.

Cocoa futures rose meanwhile.

SUGAR

* October raw sugar SBc1 fell 2.9% to 22.64 cents per lb at 1052 GMT but headed for gains of nearly 3% for the week.

* Dealers said producers were taking advantage of the recent price surge to sell, adding there were indications India might produce enough sugar to export around 2 million tons next season.

* BMI, a unit of Fitch Solutions, cited data showing that at least 2.4% of the sugarcane area in Brazil has fallen victim to wildfires thanks to the drought and heat.

* The analyst has, as a result, lowered Brazil's sugar output forecast for 2024/25 by 2 million tons to 39 million and reduced its global sugar surplus figure by 2 million tons to just 1.9 million.

* December white sugar LSUc1 fell 2.3% to$580.50 a metric ton.

COFFEE

* December arabica coffee KCc1 fell 2.1% to $2.6810 per lb but was heading for gains of more than 15% for the week.

* Forecasters said Brazil's weather will remain dry over the next 6-10 days, which will stress the trees further and impede flowering.

* November robusta coffee LRCc2 fell 1.6% to $5,158 a ton.

COCOA

* December New York cocoa CCc1 rose 1.9% to $8,277 a ton.

* Favourable weather in top grower Ivory Coast is improving the main crop outlook and is helpingkeep a lid on prices for now.

* Also, Ivory Coast's Coffee and Cocoa Council (CCC) has significantly curbed the hoarding of beans in September using the threat of sanctions against buyers and cooperatives, sources within the CCC, exporters, and buyers told Reuters.

* March London cocoa LCCc2 rose 2% to 4,712 pounds per ton.
