Macquarie lifts FY24 earnings estimate for New Zealand's Tower on higher savings
** Macquarie increases earnings estimate for Tower TWR.NZ by 8% for FY24 ended Sept. 30 reflecting a beat on large event claims following a benign year; Earnings from FY25 onwards trimmed by 1% incorporating the latest bond yields
** Tower's FY24 underlying NPAT will increase by NZ$32 mln ($19.49 mln) as the FY24 large events allowance of NZ$45 mln remained unused in the absence of large events - Macquarie
** Brokerage anticipates TWR will incur ~NZ$6 mln in additional customer remediation costs, including those related to regulatory action in 2H24
** Shares fall 0.4% to NZ$1.365
($1 = 1.6418 New Zealand dollars)
