Jefferies upgrades Hochtief on high-tech infra projects, shares rise
** Shares in Hochtief HOTG.DE rise 2.3% in early Frankfurt trade, topping Germany's mid-cap index .MDAXI, after Jefferies upgrades the German construction firm to "buy" from "hold"
** Jefferies sees accelerating profit growth thanks to Hochtief's growing exposure to high-tech infrastructure projects
** It notes the advent of data centre GPU servers and a rush to train AI models have driven annual demand growth for data centres to 30-40% in key regions, which Hochtief should benefit from
** "We now see Hochtief shares offering a compelling 5.4% 2025 dividend yield, for double-digit earnings growth (11%)," it adds
** Out of 11 analysts that cover Hochtief, four rate the stock "strong buy" or "buy", six "hold" and one "strong sell"
