U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen will push fellow G7 finance officials next week to agree to a plan to bring forward the interest earnings on frozen Russian assets to provide more money to Ukraine quickly, a senior U.S. Treasury official said on Friday.

COMPANIES

UNICREDIT CRDI.MI

A Russian court ordered that 462.7 million euros ($502.77 million) of UniCredit's assets, accounts, property and shares in subsidiary companies be seized as part of a lawsuit involving the Italian bank, according to court documents.

UniCredit is preparing an appeal against the Russian court's move, Il Messaggero reported on Sunday.

Italy's foreign minister and officials will meet on Monday to discuss Russia's recent action to seize assets or impose restrictive measures on Italian companies including UniCredit, sources with knowledge of the matter said.

Eurozone lenders with operations in Russia will have to present an action plan for their assets in the country by June, the Financial Times reported during the weekend.

UniCredit is set to pick former Eurovita's special administrator Alessandro Santoliquido to lead the bank's insurance business, Milano Finanza reported over the weekend. CEO Andrea Orcel has recently indicated that the lender intends to internalise its life insurance business.

STELLANTIS STLAM.MI

Italian fiscal police seized more than 130 Fiat cars imported from Morocco this week on the grounds that a sticker with the colours of the Italian flag on their doors could give a false indication of their origin, a spokesman for Stellantis in Italy said on Saturday.

(*) Stellantis' Italian plants are sustainable only if they increase production with new electric and hybrid models, Industry Minister Adolfo Urso told Il Messaggero in an interview published on Monday.

He reiterated that the government wants to boost domestic car production by bringing to Italy another major automaker beyond Stellantis, noting that each year 1.5 million cars are sold in Italy, but the country produces only around 500,000. "We need to fill the gap", he said.

ITALGAS IG.MI

The group has submitted a preliminary offer of over 5 billion euros for rival 2i Rete Gas, Milano Finanza reported over the weekend, adding that Italgas' investor CDP Reti could devote 1 billion euro to support the acquisition.

ACEA ACE.MI

Italian utility ACEA said on Saturday it had submitted an offer for the concession to build and operate Rome's waste-to-energy plant.

JUVENTUS JUVE.MI

The Italian Serie A club said on Friday it sacked coach Massimiliano Allegri over his behaviour during and after this week's Coppa Italia final in which he was sent off.

Paolo Montero will take charge of Serie A side Juventus for the remainder of the season, the club said on Sunday.

(*) SS LAZIO LAZI.MI
