India's Nayara plans three weeks of maintenance at Vadinar oil refinery
NEW DELHI/SINGAPORE, July 16 (Reuters) -Indian private oil refiner Nayara Energy is planning to shut a delayed coker and some other units at its refinery in Vadinar for maintenance for about three weeks from end-August or early September, three trading sources said.
Nayara, part-owned by Russian oil major Rosneft, operates a 400,000 barrel per day (bpd) refinery at Vadinar in the Indian state of Gujarat.
The shut down of units for maintenance is expected to start from Sept. 1, two of the trade sources said.
Nayara did not respond to Reuters' request for comments.
The refiner offered about 70,000 metric tons of vacuum gasoil (VGO) with maximum 3% sulphur content, scheduled to load from Vadinar port between Sept. 1 and 10, several market sources said last week.
VGO is a residual fuel that is usually produced after petroleum distillation. It can be used as a feedstock to make transportation fuels in refining processes.
