MUMBAI, Aug 22 (Reuters) -STOCKS:
The benchmark BSE Sensex .BSESN was up 0.2% to 81,053 and the Nifty 50 index .NSEI rose 0.16% to 24,810, tracking Asian and European peers after minutes of the Federal Reserve's latest policy meeting signalled a likely rate cut in the U.S. next month. .BO
RUPEE:
The Indian rupee INR=IN weakened 0.04% versus the U.S. dollar to 83.95, tracking mild declines in most of its Asian peers and sustained dollar demand from local importers. INR/
GOVERNMENT BONDS:
The benchmark 10-year bond IN071034G=CC was quoted at 101.74 rupees, with the yield down marginally at 6.8493%, as sentiment was positive after Fed minutes improved rate cuts bets, while investors awaited Fed Chair Jerome Powell's remarks on Friday. IN/
OVERNIGHT INDEX SWAPS:
The one-year overnight index swap rate INR1YMIBROIS=CC was down 2 basis points at 6.51%, while the five-year swap rate INR5YMIBROIS=CC was down by 4 bps at 6.06%.
CALL MONEY:
India's overnight call money INROND= rate was at 5.85% while the overnight TREPS rate INTREPTOT=TCCL was at 6.26%, compared with 6.27% in the previous session.
