MUMBAI, July 19 (Reuters) -
STOCKS:
The benchmark BSE Sensex .BSESN fell 191.62 points, or 0.24%, to 81,151.84, while the broader NSE index .NSEI lost 82.5 points, or 0.33%, to 24,718.35 as broad-based profit booking outweighed gains in Infosys' shares INFY.NS after it beat quarterly earnings estimates. .BO
RUPEE:
The Indian rupee INR=IN strengthened 0.02% versus the U.S. dollar, and quoted at 83.64 per dollar, after averting a fall to record low levels with traders speculating that RBI may have intervened to support the currency. INR/
GOVERNMENT BONDS:
The benchmark 10-year bond IN071034G=CC was quoted at 100.86 rupees, with the yield up 1 bps at 6.9741% ahead of fresh supply of debt via a weekly auction. IN/
OVERNIGHT INDEX SWAPS:
The one-year overnight index swap rate INRAMONMI1Y= was up 4 bps at 6.70%, while the benchmark five-year swap rate INRSMONMI5Y= rose 4 bps to 6.28%.
CALL MONEY/REPOS:
India's overnight call money INROND= rate was up 10 bps at 6.55%. The overnight TREPS rate INTREPTOT=TCCL was at 6.49%, compared with the previous day's weighted average of 6.3997%.
