FinecoBank, Banca Generali rise after report on interest from PE funds
** Shares in FinecoBank FBK.MI, Banca Generali BGN.MI are up 2.8% and 1.7% respectively after Italian daily Il Sole 24 Ore reported some private equity funds are studying potential stake acquisitions in the two Italian asset managers
** Bain, CVC, Advent as well as insurer Zurich are among those studying the possibility of making an offer for FinecoBank, the daily writes
** One of these funds is also considering a potential offer for Banca Generali, controlled by insurer Generali GASI.MI, it adds
** A Milan-based trader says interest in the sector is not new, confirms the attractiveness of the Italian asset management segment
** A broker says Bank of Italy might not like private equity firms holding stakes in Italian companies with a banking license
** Up to Monday's close, shares in FinecoBank were up 12.3% YTD, while those in Banca Generali are up 14.5 YTD
