Fabege falls as co flags little upside to office rents, writes down properties
** Shares in Fabege FABG.ST drop 3.5% after the Swedish real estate company flags that it sees little upside to office rents and writes down the value of their properties with 1.38 billion Swedish crowns ($127.17 million) in Q1
** Carlsquare analyst Bertil Nilsson points to comments from Fabege's CEO saying that it is generally not possible to raise office rents further after earlier 20% hikes, as well as comments on increasing office vacancies in the Stockholm region
** "In addition, there were fairly large write-downs of about SEK 1.4 billion on Fabege's properties in Q1 2024. Other property companies have not reported any significant changes in value in Q1," added Nilsson
** Including today's fall the stock has dropped by 24% YTD
