Aug 5 (Reuters) -The following bids, mergers, acquisitions and disposals were reported by 1330 GMT on Monday:
** Thoughtworks TWKS.O agreed to be taken private by Apax Partners in a deal worth about $1.75 billion, the technology consultancy firm said, nearly three years after its stock market debut. nL4N3JS12I
** Tenet Healthcare THC.N will sell its majority ownership in Brookwood Baptist Health in Birmingham, Alabama, for about $910 million to not-for-profit healthcare organization Orlando Health, the U.S. hospital operator said. nL4N3JS119
** Drugmaker Mallinckrodt said it will sell its Therakos business to CVC Capital Partners CVC.AS for $925 million.nL4N3JS126
** Private equity firm Quantum Capital Group will buy U.S. independent power producer Cogentrix Energy for about $3 billion from funds managed by the Carlyle Group CG.O, the companies said. nL4N3JS0ZU
** Credit Agricole CAGR.PA, France's second-biggest listed bank, has dropped out of talks to acquire Societe Generale's SOGN.PA German consumer unit, Hanseatic Bank, a person with knowledge of the matter said. nL8N3JS0EI
** L'Oreal OREP.PA will acquire a 10% stake in Swiss skin care firm Galderma GALD.S from a group of major shareholders, the two companies said , as the French firm seeks a cut of the profits from the booming injectable cosmetics market. nL8N3JS079
** Dubai's Sidara said it was walking away from its plan to buy UK's John Wood Group WG.L, citing rising geopolitical risks and uncertainty in the financial market, prompting the British engineering group's shares to plunge 40%. nL4N3JS0L7
** Shares in David Beckham-backed Guild Esports GILDG.L urged more than 54% in early trading, after the gaming firm said it is planning to agree to a takeover offer from California-based investment management company DCB Sports. nL4N3JS0LD
** Australia's Woodside Energy WDS.AX said it will acquire OCI Global's OCI.AS clean ammonia project in Texas for $2.35 billion as the energy firm advances its transition towards green energy. nL4N3JS0KJ
** Societe Generale SOGN.PA has agreed to sell its British and Swiss private banking units to Switzerland's Union Bancaire Privee (UBP) for 900 million euros ($984 million), the French bank said as it speeds up its asset sale program. nL1N3JS055
** Family-owned packaged food giant Mars, whose candy brands include M&M's and Snickers, is exploring a potential acquisition of Kellanova K.N, maker of snacks such as Cheez-It and Pringles, according to people familiar with the matter.nL1N3JR05J
