July 18 (Reuters) -The following bids, mergers, acquisitions and disposals were reported by 1930 GMT on Thursday:
** Attica Bank BOAr.AT, Greece's fifth largest lender, announced that it had finalised a deal to merge with the smaller Pancretan Bank in an effort to clean up its balance sheet and create a new banking organisation. nL8N3JA1VD
** Zimbabwe's state-owned Kuvimba Mining House has signed a $310 million deal with a consortium of British and Chinese investors for the construction of a lithium concentrator. nL8N3JA1R5
** Italian defence group Leonardo LDOF.MI expects to finalise a joint venture with Germany's Rheinmetall RHMG.DE by September, while a contract with Italy's Defence Ministry could be sealed by the end of the year, CEO Roberto Cingolani said. nL8N3JA1RE
** Spanish fund Asterion has agreed to buy 49% of a holding company that owns several Italian airports, it said on Thursday, in a deal which two sources said had a value of between 800 and 900 million euros ($870-$980 million). nL8N3JA1RP
** Meta Platforms META.O is in talks to acquire a stake of about 5% in EssilorLuxottica ESLX.PA, its production partner for Ray-Ban smart glasses, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing people familiar with the matter. nL4N3JA0ZS
** CommScope COMM.O said it would sell its outdoor wireless network segment and its distributed antenna systems business to Amphenol APH.N for $2.1 billion in cash. nL4N3JA13I
** Private equity firm Clayton, Dubilier & Rice is exploring options including the sale of a stake in Epicor Software, which counts Formula One racing team RB among customers for its business software, according to people familiar with the matter. nL8N3J91RH
** The field of bidders for German rail operator Deutsche Bahn's logistics unit Schenker has narrowed to DSV DSV.CO and CVC CVC.AX after Saudi Arabia's Bahri 4030.SE dropped out of the race, two people familiar with the sale told Reuters on Thursday. nL8N3JA162
** Apax Partners, Bain Capital and CVC CVC.AS are each exploring potential bids for SoftwareOne SWON.S, two people with knowledge of the situation said, three months after the ouster of the Swiss software company's board. nL1N3JA0AR
** Finnish energy group Fortum FORTUM.HE has agreed to sell its recycling and waste business to investment company Summa Equity for about 800 million euros ($875 million), it said. nL8N3JA09V
** U.S. vertical farming startup Plenty is forming a joint venture with Mawarid, a subsidiary of Alpha Dhabi Holding ALPHADHABI.AD, in a $680 million deal to develop a network of indoor farms in the Middle East, the companies told Reuters. nL1N3JA00E
** Samsung Electronics 005930.KS said it agreed to acquire Oxford Semantic Technologies, a British startup specialising in technology that can be used for more sophisticated artificial intelligence (AI) applications. nL4N3J90J5
** Darden Restaurants DRI.N, owner of the Olive Garden chain, has agreed to buy full-service restaurant operator Chuy's Holdings CHUY.O in an all-cash deal which has an enterprise value of $605 million, the companies said on Wednesday. nL4N3J91NM
