Caesars Entertainment shares jump after results
** Caesars Entertainment's stock CZR.O surged 12.5% andwas among the biggest daily pct gainers in the S&P 500 .SPX Wed, a day after the casino operator posted weaker than expected qtrly rev but strong growth in its digital unit and rev in its Las Vegas business
** Stock hit $41.74, highest since mid-April, and was last at $41.58
** Caesars late on Tuesday posted a quarterly loss after taking a 940 mln charge related to REIT leases, and it posted weaker-than-expected rev
** But rev at its digital unit jumped yr over yr
** Jefferies analysts cut their target price on the stock to $60 from $62 but reiterated their "buy" rating, noting that "Las Vegas is building better momentum than anticipated, regional gaming is pivoting from consuming to generating cash and digital is accelerating profits."
** Macquarie also cut their target price on the stock, while Stifel and Wells Fargo raises their target prices
** The median 12-mo price target on the stock is $55.50, and 13 of the 18 analysts covering the stock have a "buy" or "strong buy" rating on it, per LSEG data
** Including the session move, CZR is down 11% YTD vs a roughly 16% gain in the S&P 500
