Alten at 5-month low after weaker Q1 revenue
** Shares in Alten LTEN.PA fall around 6% to their lowest since November after the engineering and technology consulting group posted weaker-than-expected Q1 revenue
** First-quarter revenue rose 0.8% organically to 1.07 billion euros ($1.15 billion), 1% below estimates cited by Stifel
** The broker also notes that guidance could be seen as "rather cautious" given embedded growth from hirings and gradual economic recovery in next quarters
** Alten said H1 2024 will confirm the slowdown "observed since mid-2023" and expects to achieve organic growth of around 3% for 2024, following 9% increase recorded in 2023
** "With weaker organic sales growth and few M&A opportunities in sight, Alten's growth story is taking a hit," Bernstein says in a note
** The broker cuts its 2024-26 estimates, citing a weak start to the year and Alten's lesser "protection against the macroeconomic environment" than anticipated, trimming its PT by 2% to 159 euros
