UK Stocks-Factors to watch on May 1

May 1 (Reuters) -Britain's FTSE 100 .FTSE index is seen opening flat on Wednesday, with futures FFIc1 also unchanged.
* GSK: GSK GSK.L raised its full-year profit forecast on Wednesday and said its sales would be higher in the first six months of the year than the second half on the back of strong demand for its common respiratory virus and shingles vaccines.
* ASTON MARTIN: Aston Martin AML.L posted a bigger-than-expected first-quarter pretax loss as the British luxury carmaker made fewer cars than market expectations and finance costs soared.
* SMITH+ NEPHEW: Smith+ Nephew SN.L missed market expectations for first-quarter revenue due to softness in its Advanced Wound Management segment.
* NEXT: British clothing retailer Next NXT.L kept its forecast for annual profit after reporting a 5.7% rise in first-quarter full-price sales that was slightly ahead of its guidance.
* DOMINO'S: Britain's Domino's Pizza Group DOM.L said the second quarter started off slower due to a stronger comparative period after it reported a dip in sales and lower orders in the first quarter.
* HOUSE PRICE: British house prices fell unexpectedly for a second month running during April, figures from mortgage lender Nationwide showed.
* GSK: The first trial over claims that blockbuster heartburn drug Zantac, once sold by GSK GSK.L and other companies, causes cancer is set to begin this week in Chicago.
* GOLD: Gold prices struggled for momentum as investors refrained from taking big positions ahead of a U.S. Federal Reserve policy decision that could offer for more cues on its rate-cut timeline.
* OIL: Oil prices fell for a third day on rising crude inventories and production in the U.S., the world's biggest oil consumer, along with increasing hopes of a ceasefire agreement in the Middle East.
