UK Stocks-Factors to watch on July 8
July 8 -Britain's FTSE 100 .FTSE index is seen opening higher on Monday, with futures FFIc1 up 0.1%.
* ADNOC:Abu Dhabi National Oil Company has earmarked a 40% stake in its Ruwais liquefied natural gas (LNG) project to four energy majors ShellSHEL.L, TotalEnergies TTEF.PA, BP BP.L, and Japan's Mitsui 8031.T, sources told Reuters.
* TATA: Britain's new government is prioritising avoiding job losses in talks with Tata Steel over government backing for a transition to lower-carbon technologies, business minister Jonathan Reynolds said on Sunday.
* REVOLUT:British fintech company Revolut's CEO Nikolay Storonsky will cash in part of his multibillion dollar stake in the company as part of a $500 million share sale, Sky News reported on Sunday.
* PRICES:Fewer British firms plan to raise their prices in the coming months, according to a survey that will give reassurance to the Bank of England as it considers the possibility of cutting interest rates as soon as next month.
* OIL:Oil prices dipped on Monday after rising for four weeks, as the prospect of a ceasefire deal in Gaza eased geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, while investors assessed potential disruption to U.S. energy supplies from Tropical Storm Beryl.
* GOLD:Gold prices slipped on Monday, as investors booked profits after bullion hit a more than one-month high in the previous session on rising bets of U.S. interest rate cuts in September.
* Britain's domestic-focused stocks logged their best week in more than five months on Friday after a landslide election win by the Labour Party raised investors' hopes that the outcome will bring a boost for the UK economy.
