The United Arab Emirates group TAQA has commissioned a "due diligence" of Naturgy's business and balance sheet before officially launching a joint takeover bid for Naturgy with CriteriaCaixa, Spanish online news website El Confidencial reported on Monday.
Separately, Naturgy plans to invest 1.34 billion euros ($1.45 billion) until 2027 to reinforce its electricity grid, Spanish online news website El Economista reported on Monday.
