Posted on July 21, 2017 at 1:15 pm GMT

The euro’s rally to a two-year high in the past 24-hours has seen the pan-European STOXX 600 turn downwards with the four main country indices falling by more than 1% today. Investors with positions in large European exporters got cold feet today due to the stronger euro, inducing a sea of red across European equity indices. Germany’s DAX fell by 1.6% by [..]

Posted on April 24, 2017 at 3:01 pm GMT

There were some economic releases hitting the markets during today’s European session trading, including the German Ifo survey measuring business morale in Europe’s largest economy. But the outcome of the first round of French presidential elections was undoubtedly the factor underlying most major movements in financial markets today. The pro-EU Emmanuel Macron coming in first, ahead of anti-EU rival Marine Le Pen, in the first round of French presidential elections helped boost the euro in today’s trading. Technical Analysis – Germany 30 index extends bullish run; Hits 22-month high

Posted on March 2, 2017 at 2:22 pm GMT

The Germany 30 stock index shows no sign of ending its bullish run, which has been in place since  early December, as the index hit a 22-month high on Wednesday. Momentum indicators are bullish with both the RSI and the stochastics suggesting there’s room for further gains in the near term. However, both are fast approaching overbought levels, which if crossed, would signal a possible a technical correction. This is also highlighted by the Bollinger bands where prices found resistance [..]

Technical Analysis – Germany 30 stock index bullish at 20-month high

Posted on January 27, 2017 at 12:35 pm GMT

The Germany 30 stock index has fallen slightly after recording a 20-month high during yesterday’s trading. The MACD is giving a short-term bullish signal as it is above 0. This is reinforced by the RSI indicator, which is also in bullish territory above 50. Note though that RSI is slightly above the 70 overbought level, perhaps hinting that the recent upside movement is overextended and a short-term reversal could follow. The area around the 11500 key level (between 11450-11550) has [..]

Looking at the Ichimoku analysis, the Tenkan-sen line (red) has been above the Kijun-sen (blue) since late November. This positive alignment is bullish. Posted on August 11, 2016 at 3:02 pm GMT

The Germany 30 cash index hit the highest level since December 2015 today as it extended its post-Brexit gains. The rally has taken prices above the 50- and 200-day moving averages and above the Ichimoku cloud. The tenkan-sen and kijun-sen lines are positively aligned and rising, and the positive momentum is further supported by the RSI holding close to the 70 level.
