Technical Analysis – GER 30 improves above 200-period MA

Posted on April 13, 2020 at 3:17 pm GMT

German 30 index’s (Cash) price appears to be gaining ground above the 200-period simple moving average (SMA), backed by the rising Ichimoku lines and the advancing 50- and 100-period SMAs. Also supporting this view, are the short-term oscillators, which display increasing positive momentum. The MACD, in the positive region, is strengthening above its red trigger line, while the RSI is rising in the overbought territory. If buyers continue to control the market, initial resistance could come from the 10,898 level, [..]

Technical Analysis – GER 30 index exits neutral zone but new barrier pops up

Posted on April 7, 2020 at 2:49 pm GMT

The German 30 stock index escaped from an almost three-week old range on the four-hour chart but quickly found new resistance near the 200-period simple moving average (SMA) on the way up. According to the RSI and the Stochastics, there is not much upside left as the indicators are reversing southwards after peaking in the overbought area. In the event of a downside reversal, the 38.2% Fibonacci retracement of the bearish wave from 13,826 to 7,961 at 10,200, could come to rescue in scope to push the price [..]

Technical Analysis – GER 30 index bounces from 4-year low; bearish-to-neutral in short-term

Posted on March 13, 2020 at 2:21 pm GMT

The German 30 stock index is heading into the weekend with massive losses for the second time in a row despite pushing efforts to recover from a four-year low of 8,817 reached on Friday. Somewhat encouraging is the fact that the RSI and the Stochastics on the daily chart are refusing to post fresh lows. Yet, for the sell-off to take a breather, the indicators need to show a convincing rebound above oversold levels. Nevertheless, on the upside, there are several obstacles [..]

Technical Analysis – GER 30 index pauses sharp downfall near key support; may stay under pressure

Posted on February 25, 2020 at 10:38 am GMT

The German 30 stock index, having unlocked a fresh record high at 13,826 last week, plummeted below the Ichimoku cloud for the first time since August on Monday but the strong cluster of support around 12,950 managed to curb the sharp downfall once again. Technically, there is more downside in store in the near-term according to the RSI and the Stochastics which are fluctuating comfortably within the bearish zone but have yet to confirm oversold conditions. This increases the case [..]

Technical Analysis – GER 30 index hits fresh record high; could stabilize in short-term

Posted on February 13, 2020 at 3:53 pm GMT

The German 30 stock knocked January’s all time high of 13,639 on Wednesday and printed a fresh peak of 13,791 on Thursday. With the price pulling below the upper Bollinger band, some caution could emerge in the short-term. Still, any weakness could prove temporary if the area between the middle Bolinger band, which is also the 20-day simple moving average (SMA), and the 50-day SMA currently near 13,300 rejects any move lower, shifting the spotlight back to the 13,600 level [..]

Technical Analysis – GER 30 Index pullback looks to test positive picture

Posted on February 7, 2020 at 11:00 am GMT

Germany 30 Index (Cash) is pushing under the 13,519 level, following a deflection off the 13,604 resistance from January 24. The candles reflect sellers’ efforts for a down move, something also suggested within the short-term oscillators, where negative momentum appears to be picking up. The MACD, deep in the positive region, has slipped below its red trigger line, while the RSI declines lower in bullish territory following an exit from the overbought zone. The Stochastic lines have reached the 20 [..]

Technical Analysis – GER 30 Index bulls looking strong ahead of all-time-high

Posted on January 17, 2020 at 10:18 am GMT

Germany 30 Index (Cash) bounced off the 50-period simple moving average (SMA) yesterday, which resulted in a pickup in positive momentum and four successive positive sessions to retest the 23-month high of 13,548. The short-term oscillators suggest that positive directional momentum is strengthening. The MACD, remained above zero, and is increasing over its red trigger line, while the RSI is rising in bullish territory. Moreover, the ADX reflects a strong positive trend in place, also aided by the uptrend line [..]

Technical Analysis – GER 30 index reactivates long-term uptrend; eyes record high

Posted on January 9, 2020 at 10:59 am GMT

The German 30 stock index opened positive this week after hitting support at 12,946, which is where the price bottomed in December and peaked in October. The bulls are currently pushing efforts to extend the uptrend off 10,276 towards the record high of 13,600 registered on January 2018 and while the upward slope in the RSI endorses the positive move, the MACD has yet to comfortably rise above its red signal line, suggesting that some caution remains in the market. A [..]
