POLITICS
Italy could seek an executive vice-presidency and the portfolio for industry and the internal market, including aerospace, in the next European Commission, Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani was quoted as saying by newspaper Il Foglio on Saturday. Tajani added that the current European Affairs and NRRP Minister Raffaele Fitto had all the qualities needed to take on the role of EU commissioner.

TELECOM ITALIA (TIM) TLIT.MI
The Italian telecoms group finalises the landmark sale of its domestic fixed line access network to KKR KKR.N as of Monday.
ENI ENI.MI
The Italian energy group is considering setting up a new company, to be called Eni Italia, which will control all the group's Italian upstream onshore and offshore activities, Milano Finanza reported on Saturday.
(*) Vaar Energi VAR.OL, majority-owned by Eni, has extended an agreement to supply natural gas to the Italian energy company by 12 years, the Norwegian company said on Monday.
FERRARI RACE.MI
Asked about the possibility of hiring top Formula One designer Adrian Newey, the Italian luxury sports carmaker's Chairman John Elkann said on Saturday: "There are so many options, Newey or others".
"We have to assess well whether the conditions are there. We have to understand the level of motivation and the ability to create new things rather than copying others," he was quoted as saying by daily Corriere della Sera.

The group's subsidiary NextChem has been awarded a feasibility study for a low-carbon fertilisers plant in France for Fertighy - a consortium of European industrial groups which includes Maire and that deals with global food security - the company said on Monday. The plant is scheduled to start construction in 2027 and will produce half a million tons per year of low-carbon nitrogen-based fertilizers, the statement said.
RAI WAY RWAY.MI
Public broadcaster RAI is expected to sell up to 10% of its tower unit but not before September, Il Sole 24 Ore reported on Saturday. RAI aims to raise at least 130 million euros from the sale of the stake, the paper added.
IREN IREE.MI
The Italian energy, gas and water utility said in a statement on Friday it expects to close the acquisition of smaller rival EGEA on August 1.

The investment company is considering various deals after having invested little in recent years, Giovanni Tamburi, founder and CEO of Tamburi, told l'Economia weekly of Corriere della Sera in an interview published don Monday.
M&A, ITA AIRWAYS
European regulators will approve on Wednesday Lufthansa's acquisition of a minority stake in the Italian airline Ita, newspaper Il Messaggero reported on Sunday.

Shares suspended, de-listed as of Wednesday.
