The Italian Serie A team has sold Italy forward Federico Chiesa to Liverpool on a long-term contract, the two clubs said on Thursday.

Fnac Darty FNAC.PA and Ruby Equity Investment on Thursday stood by their takeover offer for the Italian consumer electronics retailer after Unieuro's board failed to agree on the price offered.
