Intuitive Machines rises on $4.8 bln navigation services contract from NASA
** Shares of space exploration co Intuitive Machines LUNR.O rise 36% to $7.36 in extended trade
** Co says NASA awarded it a contract of up to $4.82 bln for communication and navigation services for missions in the near space region
** As part of the contract, which has a base period of five years with an additional five-year option period, LUNR will deploy lunar relay satellites and provide communication and navigation services to aid NASA's Artemis campaign
** NASA had paid co $118 mln to build and fly Odysseus, which in Feb became the first U.S. spacecraft to land on the moon in half a century
** Up to last close, stock has more than doubled YTD
