ISTANBUL, Oct 15 (Reuters) -Here are news, reports and events that may affect Turkish financial markets on Tuesday.

The lira TRYTOM=D3 was quoted at 34.2600-34.2800 against the U.S. dollar at 0439 GMT, compared with Monday's close of 34.2615.

The main BIST 100 share index .XU100 closed 1.99% lower at 8,699.19 points on Monday.


GLOBAL MARKETS

Asian stocks were mostly higher on Tuesday, supported by a strong Wall Street close and investor optimism about corporate earnings, while the dollar held near a two-month top, aided by bets on a smaller U.S. rate cut next month.


ERDOGAN SCHEDULE

President Tayyip Erdogan will make a speech at a conference of his ruling AK Party entitled "The Future of Palestine". (1100 GMT) He will also chair a meeting of the country's High Advisory Board. (1400 GMT)


SIMSEK INTERVIEW

Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek will give an interview to broadcaster NTV. (0635 GMT)


BUDGET DATA TRBUD=ECI

The Turkish Treasury will announce budget data for September. (0800 GMT)


TREASURY AUCTIONS

The Treasury will reissue 3-year CPI-indexed and 5-year fixed coupon bonds, and will directly issue a 2-year sukuk.


FOREIGN MINISTER

Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan will meet with Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman al-Safadi.


ENERGY MINISTER

Energy Minister Alparslan Bayraktar will hold talks in China.


VICE PRESIDENT

Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz will attend the World Chambers Federation (WCF) Europe and Asia Summit with the main theme of 'Collaborative approach to climate change'. (0730 GMT)


PARLIAMENTARY MEETINGS

The government-allied MHP (0745 GMT), the pro-Kurdish DEM (0945 GMT) and the main opposition CHP party (1030 GMT) will hold their parliamentary group meetings.


CREDIT CARD LIMITS

Turks are trying to lower their credit card limits, bankers said, after President Tayyip Erdogan's ruling AK Party proposed a bill that would raise fees for some cardholders as part of efforts to fund the defence industry.
