Turkey - Factors To Watch on Nov 1
ANKARA, Nov 1 (Reuters) -Here are news, reports and events that may affect Turkish financial markets on Friday.
The lira TRYTOM=D3 traded at 34.3100 against the U.S. dollar at 0321 GMT, compared with Thursday's close of 34.3005.
The main BIST 100 share index .XU100 closed 1.58% lower at 8,863.88 points on Thursday.
GLOBAL MARKETS
Asian markets began a likely momentous month on the cautious side, with shares mostly lower and Treasury yields near three-month highs on Friday, while investors awaited U.S. payrolls data, although a rate cut next week is largely baked in.
VICE PRESIDENT
Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz will attend Turkey-Senegal Business Forum in Istanbul (0745 GMT).
TRADE MINISTER
Trade Minister Omer Bolat will attend Turkey-Romania Joint Economy and Trade Commission meeting in Bucharest.
OPPOSITION
Main opposition CHP MPs will hold a meeting in Istanbul after one of its mayors was arrested late on Wednesday for alleged ties with the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) (0800 GMT).
PMI DATA TRPMIM=ECI
The Istanbul Chamber of Industry will release the October manufacturing industry purchasing managers index (PMI) data compiled by S&P Global (0700 GMT).
ISTANBUL INFLATION
The Istanbul Chamber of Commerce will release inflation data for Turkey's largest city (0900 GMT).
