US Cash Grains-Soybean basis bids steady to lower at river terminals and processors
CHICAGO, Sept 3 (Reuters) -Processors and river terminals kept spot basis bids for soybeans steady to lower across the U.S. Midwest on Tuesday, according to spot checks.
* The soybean basis dropped by 10 cents at a processor in Decatur, Illinois, 8 cents at a river terminal in Davenport, Iowa and 10 cents at another river terminal in Morris, Illinois.
* Market participants saw soybean demand growing as China announced plans for an anti-dumping investigation into Canadian canola imports on Tuesday. China, the world's largest oilseed importer, may be looking for alternatives, according to traders.
* Brokers are monitoring the start of soybean harvesting in the Delta region amid expectations for record U.S. output.
* Some locations have rolled their corn basis to the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) December CZ24 futures contract as the September contract CU24 nears its delivery phase and Sept. 13 expiration.
