US Cash Grains-Soy basis steady-mixed at elevators and river terminals
CHICAGO, July 31 (Reuters) -Spot basis bids for U.S. soybeans were steady to mixed at grain elevators and river terminals on Wednesday afternoon as futures prices strengthened.
* Soybeans were up 5 cents at a river terminal in Morris, Illinois and down 5 cents at an elevator in Des Moines, Iowa.
* The corn basis dropped 3 cents at a river terminal in Davenport, Iowa.
* Chicago Board of Trade soybeans Sv1 rose after falling to lows not seen since 2020 the previous day.
* Merchants said some farmers were beginning to sell off old crop soybeans to make room for new crop.
