US Cash Grains-Corn bids flat to up as farmer selling stays slow
CHICAGO, July 3 (Reuters) -Spot basis bids for soy were steady to mixed, and corn bids were mostly unchanged to higher on Wednesday as weak prices kept farmer sales slow before the July 4 holiday.
* The corn basis increased by 3 cents per bushel at river terminal in Morris, Illinois.
* The soy basis increased by 1 cent in Morris, Illinois, and by 5 cents at an elevator in Des Moines, Iowa. The basis fell by 12 cents at a river terminal near Davenport, Iowa.
* More grain dealers rolled their corn basis bids to the CBOT September CU24 futures contract and the soy basis bids to CBOT August SQ24 futures.
* CBOT September corn CU24 closed down 2-1/2 cents at$4.05-1/2 per bushel. CBOT August soybeans SQ24 were up 7-1/2 cents at $11.57-3/4 a bushel.GRA/
* CBOT markets will be closed on Thursday for the U.S. Independence Day holiday.
