PARIS, Sept 4 (Reuters) -Euronext wheat rose further on Wednesday to reach a three-week high as Chicago grain futures extended a rally amid weather concerns and signs of improving export demand.

December wheat BL2Z4, the most-active position on Paris-based Euronext, settled 0.6% up at 220.50 euros ($244.38) per metric ton to post a seventh straight daily gain.

The contract earlier climbed to 221.75 euros, its highest since Aug. 14, but like in the previous session failed to break clear of the 220 euro chart ceiling.

Chicago wheat futures Wv1 added to a recent rally to hit their highest in nearly two months, bolstered by a weaker dollar and continued strength in U.S. corn Cv1. GRA/

An upturn in U.S. grain exports have boosted demand sentiment while dry weather in U.S. Midwest and Brazilian crop belts have tempered expectations of bumper supply.

"Corn has been the force behind the market the past few days with talk of U.S. exports accelerating and weather risks for Brazilian planting," a futures dealer said.

A risk-off mood in financial markets, as investors fret over economic growth, has also encouraged short-covering in wheat after recent lows, according to dealers. MKTS/GLOB

Financial investors reduced their net short position in Euronext wheat last week, data published by the exchange on Wednesday showed.

The market nonetheless still faced pressure from cheaper Black Sea supplies, even if poor harvests in France and Germany have reduced the export surplus in Europe.

"Euronext strength is making German third-country wheat exports almost impossible with Russian 12.5% protein wheat remaining much cheaper than the EU at well under the $220 a ton FOB level," one German trader said.

"In Germany, we are switching our focus from third country exports to EU/British sales and to German domestic customers. There is purchase interest from British mills for 13% high protein grades but as usual in relatively small shiploads to smaller ports," the trader added.

In oilseeds, November rapeseed COMX4 on Euronext settled 0.7% down at 466.5 euros a ton, pressured by falling crude oil prices and further weakness in Canadian canola RSX4, a day after China announced an anti-dumping investigation into canola imports from Canada.
