- Skydance Media has accused Paramount PARA.O special committee of directors of breaching the terms of its deal by extending the period when it can engage with other bidders for the company and has demanded the company to stop negotiating with Edgar Bronfman Jr.


- Canada ordered an end to a work stoppage at the country's two main railroads, Canadian National Railway CNR.TO and Canadian Pacific Kansas City CP.TO, saying an arbitrator would resolve disagreements between the companies and a Teamsters union that had disrupted freight traffic and supply chains across North America.


- Tesla TSLA.O vice president Sreela Venkataratnam, an 11-year veteran of the company, has left, further shuffling the electric-vehicle maker's top ranks after several longstanding leaders departed amid restructuring in the spring.


- Apple AAPL.O will let iPhone users in the European Union delete native apps, including the App Store and Safari, and allow more third-party tools to replace its own in a bid to comply with the bloc’s digital competition law.

- Air Canada AC.TO pilots have voted to strike if necessary to break an impasse with the airline over a new pay deal. The Air Line Pilots Association, which represents more than 5,400 pilots at the flag carrier, said almost all of the 98% of the pilots who voted are in favor of authorizing union leaders to call a strike.
