US Cash Grains-Corn basis flat to higher at processing sites
CHICAGO, July 15 (Reuters) -Spot basis bids for corn were steady to higher at U.S. Midwest processing sites on Monday as low crop prices continued to discourage farmer selling, dealers said.
* The spot basis for corn firmed by 13 cents in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and was flat at other processors.
* At grain elevators, basis bids eased by 4 cents for corn and 2 cents for soybeans in Cincinnati, Ohio.
* The U.S. soy crush in June declined and fell below most trade estimates but was still the highest on record for the sixth month of the year, according to National Oilseed Processors Association data.
* The U.S. Department of Agriculture is expected to increase its good-excellent crop condition ratings for corn and soybeans in a weekly report due at 3 p.m. CDT (2000 GMT).
* Most-active corn futures Cv1 are hovering near a 2020 low while soy futures Sv1 reached a 2020 low at the Chicago Board of Trade due to prospects for strong U.S. harvests. GRA/
