US Cash Grains-Corn and soy bids mixed at processors, ethanol plants
CHICAGO, July 8 (Reuters) -Spot basis bids for corn and soybeans were mixed at processing sites and ethanol plants around the U.S. Midwest on Monday, steady to firmer at river terminals and steady at elevators.
* The corn basis strengthened by 2 cents at an ethanol plant in Union City, Indiana, but fell by 10 cents at another site in Annawan, Illinois.
* The soy basis weakened by 5 cents in Decatur, Illinois, a processing hub, but gained 10 cents at a crushing site in Lafayette, Indiana.
* The corn basis added 2 cents at a river terminal in Seneca, Illinois, and the soy basis added 2 cents at another in Davenport, Iowa.
* Remnants of Hurricane Beryl are expected to bring rains to dry areas of the eastern Midwest this week, boosting soil moisture and crop growth.
* Analysts see Monday's weekly U.S. Department of Agriculture crop progress report, due later in the day, to show steady weekly crop condition ratings for U.S. corn and soy.
