US Cash Grains-Corn and soy basis bids mixed prior to USDA report
CHICAGO, Sept 9 (Reuters) -Spot basis bids for corn and soybeans were mixed in the U.S. Midwest on Monday as buyers positioned ahead of Thursday's U.S. Department of Agriculture supply and demand report.
* The corn basis rose at an elevator and a processor and decreased at another processor.
* The soy basis decreased at a port and increased at a processor.
* Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) most-active corn fell as commodity funds liquidated positions, traders said.
* Industry players await the USDA's crop reports on Thursday, which are expected to confirm estimates for a bumper corn and soy yield.
* CBOT Benchmark CBOT December corn CZ24 settled up 1 cent at $4.07-1/4 per bushel.
* CBOT benchmark November soybeans SX24 settled up 13 cents at $10.18 per bushel.
