May 16 (Reuters) -Britain's FTSE 100 .FTSE index is seen opening higher on Thursday, with futures FFIc1 up 0.20%.
* ASTRAZENECA: Astrazeneca's<AZN.L investigational COVID-19 prevention therapy met its primary goals in a late-stage trial, the drugmaker said on Thursday.
* BT: The new boss of BTBT.L set out a path to more thandouble free cash flow over the next five years on Thursday and potentially dispose of its global business as it focuses on Britain, where it is investing in its fibre and 5G networks.
* VISTRY: British housebuilder VistryVTYV.L raised its annual homebuilding target by about 3% to over 18,000 on Thursday, buoyed by resilient demand for its affordable homes, mainly from housing associations.
* UNITED UTILITIES: British water firm United UtilitiesUU.L missed market expectations for annual profit on Thursday, as pricer consumer bills failed to offset a steep rise in costs.
* WATCHES OF SWITZERLAND: Watches of SwitzerlandWOSG.L is"cautiously optimistic"about trading in 2025 following a tough year of careful production in the industry, the luxury retailer said on Thursday.
* PREMIER FOODS: Premier FoodsPFD.L beat market expectations for its full-year profit on Thursday, supported by robust demand as customers opted for their quick meals such as mince pies and gravies and increased marketing spend.
* ANGLO AMERICAN: Anglo American AAL.L has suspended hiring globally, according to an internal memo reviewed by Reuters, as it gets plans underway to simplify itself and build value - and avert a $43 billion takeover bid by Australia's BHP Group BHP.AX.
* EX-DIVS: BP BP.L, GSK GSK.L, Kingfisher KGF.L, Tesco TSCO.L will trade without entitlement to their latest dividend pay-outs on Thursday.
