Aug 9 (Reuters) -Britain's FTSE 100 .FTSE index is seen opening higher on Friday, with futures FFIc1 up 0.1%.


* HARGREAVES LANSDOWN: British investment platform Hargreaves LansdownHRGV.L agreed to a 5.44 billion pound ($6.94 billion)takeover by a consortium backed by private equity firm CVC Capital PartnersCVC.AS and Abu Dhabi's sovereign wealth fund.

* BELLWAY: British homebuilder BellwayBWY.L reported annual revenueahead of market expectation, as a moderation in mortgage rates eased affordability concerns in a challenging housing market.

* BP: BP Bunge Bioenergia, the Brazilian bioenergy venture controlled by BP Plc BP.L, will invest 530 million reais ($94.49 million) to expand sugarcane crushing capacity at its Pedro Afonso plant in the state of Tocantins, it said late on Wednesday.

* OIL: Oil prices edged up in Asian trade, heading for a weekly gain of more than 3%, as U.S. jobs data calmed demand concerns and fears of a widening Middle East conflict persisted.

* GOLD: Gold prices were subdued and headed for a weekly decline, while investors awaited further cues to gauge the size of a potential U.S. interest rate cut in September.

* METALS: Prices of base metalsrose, buoyed by gains in the stock markets and by rate cut hopes and better-than-expected U.S. data that relieved some demand worries.
