ANKARA, Aug 12 (Reuters) -Here are news, reports and events that may affect Turkish financial markets on Monday.

The lira TRYTOM=D3 traded at 33.57 against the U.S. dollar at 0414 GMT, from a close of 33.55 on Friday.

The main BIST 100 share index .XU100 closed 189% lower at 9.907.38 points on Friday.


GLOBAL MARKETS

Asian stocks edged higher on Monday as a holiday in Japan removed one source of recent volatility, and investors hunkered down for major U.S. and Chinese economic data for an update on global growth prospects.


ERDOGAN PROGRAMME

Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan will chair a meeting of his ruling AK Party's (AKP) central executive committee in Ankara (1100 GMT). AKP Spokesman Omer Celik will likely hold a press conference after the meeting.


ETHIOPIA-SOMALIA TALKS

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan will host counterparts from Somalia and Ethiopia to resume talks on disagreements over a port deal Addis Ababa signed with the breakaway region of Somaliland earlier this year.


INSTAGRAM ACCESS RESTORED

Turkey said on Saturday it had restored access to social media platform Instagram after the company agreed to cooperate with authorities to address the government's concerns.


UNEMPLOYMENT DATA

The Turkish Statistics Institute will release unemployment data for June. (0700 GMT)
