July 5 (Reuters) -The cash hedging of soon-to-expire FX option strikes can have a magnetic effect on FX price action and add to nearby support/resistance. There are some large strikes worth noting for Friday, July 5, and for the week ahead.

Stand-out EUR/USD strikes are on Monday between 1.0785-1.0800 on 2.6 billion euros and on Tuesday at 1.0800 on 1.3-billion and between 1.0900-10 on 2.1 billion euros. On Wednesday, there are strikes at 1.0770-75 on 2.3 billion euros, 1.0875-80 on 1-billion and 1.0900 on 1.3 billion euros. Thursday has 1.0700 strike expiries on 2.7 billion euros, 1.0735-45 on 3 billion, 1.0770 on 1.8 billion, 1.0860-65 on 1 billion and 1.0900 on 1.3 billion euros. Friday has 3 billion euros between 1.0690 and 1.0710 and 1.5 billion euros at 1.0850.

The biggest USD/CHF strikes in the week ahead are on Tuesday at 0.9000 on $550-million and on Thursday at 0.8950 on $1.6 billion. EUR/CHF strike expiries are on Monday at 0.9750 on 550 million euros, Tuesday at 0.9665 on 560 million euros and on Friday at 0.9635 on 1.3 billion euros.

There's nothing substantial in GBP/USD, but EUR/GBP strikes at 0.8400 expire on Monday on 600 million euros, while Thursday has strikes at 0.8350 on 1.1 billion euros, 0.8455 in 1.4 billion euros and at 0.8530 on 750 million euros.

The largest AUD/USD strike expiries are on Monday between 0.6700-20 on A$2 billion and between 0.6750-65 on $1.2 billion. Wednesday has strikes expiring between 0.6590-0.6600 on A$2 billion and on Thursday at 0.6610 on A$1.8 billion and between 0.6620-35 on A$ 1.6 billion.

NZD/USD strike expiries are on Monday at 0.6135 on NZ$500 million and on Thursday at 0.6125 on NZ$1.2 billion and 0.6150 on NZ$1.6 billion. AUD/NZD shows A$844 million 1.1060 strikes expiring on Friday, July 12.

The largest USD/CAD strikes are on Monday at 1.3575 and 1.3710 on $600 million each. Tuesday between 1.3590 and 1.3600 on $1.7 billion, Wednesday at 1.3660-65 on $1 billion, Thursday at 1.3775 on $1.2 billion and Friday between 1.3630-50 on $1.5 billion.

Stand-out USD/JPY strikes expire on Monday between 161.00-15 on $1 billion, Tuesday at 160.00 on $1.8 billion and Wednesday at 159.50 on $1.7 billion, 160.00 on $2.6 billion and 161.50 on 1.1 billion. Thursday has strikes between 160.00-20 on $1.5 billion and at 161.00 on $1 billion and Friday has a 160.50 strike expiry on $1 billion.
