ISTAT releases Q1 GDP final data (0800 GMT); CPI May flash data (0900 GMT); March industry sales data (1000 GMT).

TELECOM ITALIA (TIM) TLIT.MI

U.S. investment firm KKR KKR.N secured unconditional EU antitrust approval on Thursday for its 22-billion-euro ($24 billion) acquisition of Telecom Italia's (TIM) fixed-line network.

(*) The former Italian phone monopoly confirmed that, following the decision, the deal would be completed on schedule.

POSTE ITALIANE PST.MI

Italy will retain 51% of the postal service company, the Treasury told unions on Thursday, scaling back a previous plan to cut the state's stake in the postal service to as low as 35% from 64% currently.


ITALGAS IG.MI

Italy's biggest gas distributor envisages technical investments of around 0.9 billion euros ($975.15 million) in 2024, mostly in Italy, and expects adjusted revenue to recover in coming months after a drop in the first quarter, the utility said on Thursday.

The European Commission on Friday approved Italian state aid measures worth 2 billion euros ($2.16 billion) to assist the chipmaker in setting up a new semiconductor manufacturing facility in Catania, Sicily.

The bank will unveil its 2024-2027 business plan in October as it brings forward closure of the current plan, it said on Thursday, adding it would evaluate about 600 additional requests for early exit.

The Italian bank said on Thursday that the head of its NPL business Katia Mariotti will leave to join asset management firm AMCO from Aug. 3. She will be replaced on an interim basis by CEO Frederik Geertman.

ENERGY

Italy, Germany and Austria have signed an agreement to cooperate on the development of a network to transport hydrogen from the southern Mediterranean to northern Europe, the energy ministries of the three countries said on Thursday.

The Italian government will order regional authorities to identify suitable areas for renewable energy projects within six months, a draft decree showed on Thursday, in a long-awaited regulation to speed up green energy development.

The Italian utility said on Thursday it was confirming its current management structure and would declare itself as injured party regarding the legal investigation in progress involving its suspended chief executive Paolo Signorini.

The luxury shoemaker's shares will be suspended from trading on the Milan bourse on June 5 and 6 and the group will complete its delisting on June 7, private equity firm L Catterton, which has made a successful bid for the company, said on Friday.
