Bank of Italy releases June data on Target 2 liabilities and European Central Bank funding to Italian banks.

Treasury announces sale of 12-month BOT bills, with relative amounts to be auctioned on July 10.
COMPANIES

The newly-formed joint venture between the Italian defence group and German peer Rheinmetall is a first step in the consolidation of the European defence vehicle sector, the chief executives of the two groups said on Thursday.
AUTOS
Chinese automaker Chery Auto needs further talks with the Italian government as it considers building a manufacturing plant in the country, one of the group's top executives said on Thursday.
