Hurricane Beryl makes landfall near Matagorda Texas, US NHC says
July 8 (Reuters) -Hurricane Beryl has made landfall near Matagorda Texas, the U.S. National Hurricane Center (NHC) said on Monday.
The hurricane was about 85 miles (135 km) south south-west of Houston Texas, packing maximum sustained winds of 80 mph (130 kph).
